1. What is the difference between S(B)H Series and conventional oil immersed transformers?
The main difference is the core material.
The S(B)H Series Amorphous Alloy Oil Immersed Transformer uses amorphous alloy core technology, while conventional Oil Immersed Transformers generally use silicon steel cores.
The amorphous alloy core can reduce no-load loss by approximately 60%–80% compared with conventional silicon steel core products. Load loss mainly depends on winding materials and electromagnetic design.

2. What projects are suitable for Amorphous Alloy Oil Immersed Transformers?
These transformers are suitable for projects with long energization periods, lower average load rates, significant load variations, or clear energy-saving requirements.
Typical applications include distribution networks, industrial facilities, renewable energy projects, and infrastructure systems.

3. Can copper and aluminum windings both be selected?
Yes.
Copper and aluminum winding solutions can be selected according to efficiency requirements, load loss, weight, cost, mechanical strength, and customer specifications.

4. What is the difference between ONAN and ONAF cooling?
ONAN uses oil natural circulation and air natural cooling.
ONAF adds forced air cooling to improve heat dissipation capability.
The suitable cooling method depends on thermal design, operating conditions, and project requirements.

5. Can the transformer be designed for high temperature and high altitude environments?
Yes.
The transformer can be designed for special environments such as 50℃ maximum ambient temperature and installation above 1000 m altitude.
Actual temperature, altitude, ventilation conditions, and load profile should be provided for proper design verification.

  • Product Features

Amorphous Alloy Energy-Saving Technology
The Amorphous Alloy Oil Immersed Transformer uses amorphous alloy core material with high magnetic permeability, low coercivity, and low hysteresis loss characteristics.
Compared with conventional silicon steel core Oil Immersed Transformers, the product can reduce no-load loss by approximately 60%–80%.
This energy-saving advantage makes the Amorphous Alloy Transformer especially suitable for distribution systems with long operating hours, continuous energization, and relatively low average load rates.
Reduced core loss helps lower long-term energy consumption and improve overall power distribution efficiency.

Fully Sealed Corrugated Oil Tank Design
The fully sealed corrugated oil tank combines heat dissipation and oil volume compensation functions without requiring an additional oil conservator.
The sealed structure reduces direct exposure between insulating oil and external air, helping slow oil oxidation and improve long-term operating stability.
This design is suitable for projects requiring reliable operation and reduced maintenance requirements.

Vacuum Drying and Oil Filling Process
The transformer body undergoes controlled drying treatment after assembly and is then vacuum oil-filled.
This process improves insulating oil penetration into solid insulation materials and helps enhance insulation consistency, heat dissipation performance, and operating reliability.

Winding and Mechanical Strength Design
The S(B)H Series supports oxygen-free copper or high-quality aluminum conductors according to project requirements.
The winding structure is designed according to capacity, current density, short-circuit mechanical stress, and temperature rise requirements to ensure stable operation under different conditions.

Flexible Cooling and Monitoring Options

The product supports ONAN natural cooling and optional ONAF forced air cooling.
Temperature, oil level, pressure, and integrated monitoring functions can be configured according to project requirements.
Optional monitoring systems help improve operating status evaluation and support intelligent power distribution management.

Do Dry‑Type Transformers Need to Be De‑energized?

Dry‑type transformers are widely applied for local lighting, high‑rise buildings, airports, wharves, CNC machinery and other facilities. Simply put, a dry‑type transformer is a transformer whose core and windings are not immersed in insulating oil. Under what conditions shall a dry‑type transformer be immediately de‑energized? Fire occurs on the dry‑type transformer; the unit must be shut down immediately. Severe damage or discharge phenomena are observed on the transformer bushing. Stop operation immediately and arrange inspection by qualified professionals. Heavy smoke is emitted from the transformer. Abnormal, loud internal noise accompanied by explosion‑like sounds inside the transformer. Immediate shutdown is mandatory to prevent hazardous accidents. Abnormally high and continuously rising temperature under normal load and cooling conditions. When any of the above‑mentioned symptoms appear, the dry‑type transformer must be de‑energized right away. Continuing operation under such faults may cause personal injury as well as permanent damage to the transformer. These issues shall be addressed promptly. Exercise great caution when encountering any of the above‑mentioned conditions to avoid hazards. Yizheng Hongxin Transformer Co., Ltd. specializes in transformers, including dry‑type transformers, power transformers and oil‑immersed transformers. As a transformer manufacturer based in Jiangsu Province, our plant produces dry‑type transformers, power transformers and oil‑immersed transformers.
